our game

today i worry that
the ball i hurl at you
once you stop being there
will touch the ground uncaught
and i will have to wait
or rather watch if it is ever
hurled back at me in this game.
it is my folly
for when you were there
i was slow and even worse,
i cared less to throw!
had i picked it up faster
we would have had more play days
my friend.
how i wish
with all my heart
if you'd watch me play
and join this game now
and want as badly as i do
that a ball hurled
should always
find its way back to you,
we might be playing
for long; never letting
the damn ball fall
onto the ground, and
finish our lovely game ..

A pencil tale

It is a relief to know
that you will find the same pencil on your desk
the next day, and the day after that.
Well, you have a box of refill leads inside your table drawer
for quite a long time you might be needing it in store
besides, there are unfinished boxes back at home
just some day you can replace with empty ones...

I wake up every morning
hoping the pencil is there on my office desk,
for it would mean less irony to assume
not all things stay quite the same
like my pencil, I had started using some fine day....

Yet everyday dawns with this b'ful feeling
that every single thing i care about
will rather be in its own place
the pencil, the leads in the office
                               and those back at home.
So tuck me in today too dear slumber
hoping someone could care less
than move my things from my safekeeping !

Friendship message

On a hot summer day like this,
miles apart from where my roots breath,
I reminisce of all the days that has seen me grow inch by inch. Since that very day when my memory lane must hav seen its first traffic, there is a face that would cheer up the spirits inside- a face that randomizes itself in features but never loses its charm. one day it was yours and then another.. the charm is evergreen; the bliss of togetherness, the moments spent, the closeness that developed; and what i might have failed to express though...
Happy Friendship Day to all !

madness

From inside the glasshouse,
I would like to throw a stone
watch the so-called glasshole form
         the amateurish design
and put one of my hand thro'..
It would get me bruised though,
a curious scan of the blood that
runs in me, what it has and lacks in, afterall..
And then watch the wounds heal with time..
Scars to remind of the moments how
a mad mad girl grow to be yet another
                          mad mad woman..

all for a maggi!!

It was another boring Sunday in IISc, on 19th of December. It was getting colder as time passed. We(me and rich) were very restless due to our own personal doldrums. So we set out finally to our sports activities (goin very well for past 1 week) and managed to get the battle field this time! After that I asked her out for a walk and had a pitstop near the swimming pool. I could not convince her abt an adventurous walk in the woods ( grasses!) so our walk was confined to the lighted roads.
On our way only the maggi craze caught us I guess. Despite my 'its ok,,u have,I'l take from mess', she made me her partner in the maggi plan.We had one maggi in room and yet another had to be bought, and again money was in room only,,,that meant miles to walk to our dinner.

Maggi was not available in the stores, nor in Janatha Bazaar shops. I suggested her Reliance shop in Mathikere. Walking would be strenuous so we started looking for an auto.
By then our plan had become a lot better, adding vegetables, onion, ghee, it tasted so yummy as we cooked the plan in mind....

Reliance got us whatever we wanted, a handful of French beans, 4 carrots,2 tomatoes, 2 onions, etc. I was too hesistant for this meagre veg shopping but Reliance tho apnaa jaisa thaa..hehe

And our mission started by about 8. Rich got busy with some call and I took the knife. We were lucky enough to get the knife on time as it was not seen around in the room. Thanks to her neighbour, the mission started well. So we finally started cooking in the pan and the smell was so good and even now my taste buds remember it.

that was an awesome maggi I had with her...
we were soo happy that we did so much for a maggi...
